RICCO SQUASH TEAM CAN'T 'WINE' ABOUT THE RESULT

Enthusiastic squash players from Petersfield, who enjoy more than a tipple of fine Italian wine, represented Ricco Wines in a challenge match against Dulverton Squash Club in Devon on 13th May.

In a hard fought match the cider drinkers from Devon triumphed over the wine connoisseurs from Hampshire 4 matches to 1, with the only lady player, Sarah Giles, winning a match for Ricco.

The match was organised by former Petersfield resident Chris Winter who moved to Dulverton last year. There are plans for a return match at the Taro Centre later this year when Ricco hope to demonstrate the staying power of fine Italian wine.

The Ricco team captain, Kevin Shilling, commented, "We had a great welcome in Dulverton and drank the village dry. I hope this first match will lead to an annual competition, which will be good for Petersfield."
